Club notes 09-03-10

The U16 and U18 sides are currently in training ahead of their season with the U16s in action this Sunday morning away to Kilcar.

The seniors got their season under way at the weekend with a hard fought Gaeltacht championship win over Glenswilly in Pearse Memorial Park last Saturday. We are now provisionally pencilled in to face St Nauls this Saturday afternoon at home- throw in 4pm.

The minor board are organising a table quiz Doherty’s Bar on Friday the 26th of March while the annual Poker Classic will take place on Good Friday in the club rooms and refreshments will be served. .

Nicholas Breslin, Brendan McNelis and Kevin Herron are currently training for the U16 county side and we wish them well.

 

Ann McGee is busy taking membership for the coming season.  It’s vital that players especially are fully paid up members prior to taking the field of play. The closing date for this is fast approaching so people are advised to complete their forms in the next few days.

 

Senior and reserve training continues every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

 

Jonathan Boyle is busy getting ready to run the Belfast City Marathon for charity. Jonathan is representing the Irish Cancer Society- and you can follow his progress at the following link: http://www.mycharity.ie/event/jonathan_boyles_marathon_run/. Please give generously.

Ardara GAA Under-8 coaching continues on Friday evenings 
at the Dolmen Centre from 6.30-8pm. Enquiries to John Mc Connell on 087-7620045 U10 training takes place every Tuesday from 7-8pm in the Community Centre.

U13 and U14 training continues this week- all players should be attending this seasons and can contact manager James McHugh on 087 2222277.
