Dragon Tamed in Ardara
This year Herbie Porsche, the winner of the recent Dragons Den Show on RTE Television will be the Grand Marshall leading the St Patirck Day Parade in Ardara this year. The people of Donegal and Ardara are very proud of Herbies success and also the wonderful effort he made promoting Donegal and Ardara since winning in the Dragon Den.
Herbie will lead the Parade from the Church Car Park at around 3.30 pm on Sunday 14th March. A huge interest surrounds this years Parade with so many topical issues at present which will make great novel Floats. A lot of credit to a new organising Committee who have put in great work. The selection process has been changed, the prizes much improved and a new momentum has been instilled into what has always been the one of the best Parades in Ireland. Four of the Countys top Bands will be in attendance Mullaghaduff All Ireland Champions, Doohary, Kilcar and Gaoth Dobhair. Please note participants in Floats and Bands should be in Ardara early before 2.45 pm. For visitors there are traffic diversions in place before 3.00 pm the Community Centre at the Hillhead, the town Car Park behind Nancys, the Methodist Car Park off Ard Conal are available but the Catholic Church Car Park is for Floats and Bands.
Come early and enjoy a good day with entertainment being provided on the Diamond prior to the Parade.
